GBTC is pleased to be able to offer expanded registration opportunities to low-income families for the current season of summer camps. Our goal is to encourage wide participation within the communities we serve and to make it possible for children to attend where they might otherwise be restricted by financial limitations. Eligible families can register a child for a full week of summer camp for 50 % below full registration rates.

Please note that availability is limited to particular camp weeks / locations; the full list of eligible camps is included below. The low-income option is applicable only for 6-to-14-year-old camps. Extended hours are not included; if required, they would need to be reserved and paid for at the standard camp rate

Availability of this option for particular camp-weeks is subject to change without advance notice, based on our current camp capacities. Note also that we are not able to provide retroactive discounts for those already registered.

Proof of low-income family status is required. This can be sent before or after registering your child; however, it must be submitted in advance of the camp start date. Acceptable documentation includes one of the following: (1) Tax assessment from current or previous year. (2) Proof of current eligibility for program subsidies for child care or children's programming at the regional or municipal level (3) Proof of acceptance for subsidy by Jumpstart or similar programs (4) Letter of support from a recognized social agency.

If none of the above is available, we will also, depending on circumstances, accept a letter from the family outlining why financial support is needed.

Low-income registration must be completed online using Visa or Mastercard credit or debit card. Please use the online registration system and, where coupon code is requested, enter: LOWINCOME

If additional financial support is required beyond the 50 % discount, or the only camp available to you is one which is not listed below, please complete and return the subsidy application form you will find on our Web site under Community / Financial Aid, and return it to us via fax, mail or e-mail. We do have some capacity to support full subsidies, and subsidies for other camp-weeks, although our ability to provide support beyond the discount made available here is limited.

With respect to special-needs campers: GBTC makes every effort to be as inclusive as possible, and to accommodate as many campers as possible with special needs; however, our resources are limited, and we do not always have the capacity to provide the support these children might require. We are aware that each child's situation is distinctive. In the interest of ensuring that each child at the camp has a positive and enriching experience, please call us on our toll-free number at 1 866 864 4282 before registering a child with special needs, so that we can review the options available.

Tip: When registering online, use the search icon at the top of the screen or the "Filter By" column on the left to select the locations, weeks and camper age groups in which you are interested.

Tip: To find programs in your area, use the "Filter By" option (at the top of the column on the left of your screen), click on the down-arrow beside "All locations", and then select "Ontario". This will show a list of programs sorted alphabetically by city name. Note that programs in Toronto, Hamilton, Mississauga, Vaughan and Cambridge will appear under those city names rather than under the regions within them (e. g. you will find North York under Toronto / North York, and Woodbridge under Vaughan / Woodbridge).

The low-income option is available only through the online registration system, using Visa or Mastercard (credit or debit cards). Registration is safe and easy, using our secure encrypted server, and you will receive your confirmation and receipt immediately via e-mail.
